Hold Reversion

  • Alerts a phone user when a held call exceeds a configured time limit
  • Alerts are generated, such as a ring or beep, at the phone to remind the user to handle the call

Configuration

Timer

  • Under System > Service Parameters > Cisco CallManager
  • Hold Reversion Duration - time after which a alert will start to generate
  • Hold Reversion Notification Duration - frequency, how often to send the reminder alert.
  • CFA Destination Override
    • If party A has configured CFA to party B.
    • Party B call Party A which normally will have caused the call to forward back to Party A
    • This setting will override this behaviour to stop the call coming back to Party B

  • Under Call Routing > Directory Number
  • The line setting will overwrite the service parameter

Priority

  • Determine when there is a new incoming call and a reverted call, which has the highest priority
    • Default - incoming call has higher priority
    • Highest - reverted call has higher priority
