Digit Manipulation

  • Calling Party Transformation Order
  • Seems to be in the order of the field configuration order

External Phone Number Mask

  • Designates the Full E.164 number
  • Used to format caller ID
  • Configured under line but enabled as part of Calling Party Transformation setting under Route Pattern configuration

Digit Prefix

  • Prepend digits to pattern
  • Valid entries include digits 0 through 9, *, and #
  • Parts of Calling/Called Transformation under Route Pattern or Translation Pattern

Digit Stripping

  • Strip digits from a pattern
  • Parts of Calling/Called Transformation (Discard Digits field) under Route Pattern or Route Group (under Route list config)
  • If no @ sign (numbering plan) is used in route pattern, only the following are supported:
    • PreDot
    • NoDigits (None)

<note important>Not sure if this is true???If you configured None on the Route Pattern, the digit stripping configured on the route group will be ignored. In all other cases, the digit stripping on the route group takes precedence</note>

Significant Digits

  • Pay attention to only the least-significant N digits
  • Part of gateway and trunk configuration
  • Affects all incoming call received by gateway or trunk; not recommended for variable-length extension numbers

Transformation Mask

  • If mask is longer than the number, it will extend the number
  • If mask is shorter than the number, it will truncate the number
  • Part of Calling/Called Party Transformation under Route Pattern, Translation Pattern or Route Group under Route List Setting
