Bulk Administration Tool
- Use to bulk add, delete and edit devices and records
- There are two main components from BATS
- BAT Templates
- Define general setting that fit all of the devices
- CSV Files
- Define devices and records specific settings
Configuration
Activate Service
- Under CCMService, activates Bulk Provisioning Service (BPS) on Publisher only
- Needed for BAT scheduling jobs
- Administers and maintains all jobs submitted
Configuration User BAT
User Template
- Under CCMAdmin > Bulk Administration > Users > User Template, create BAT User template
- Setup common user setting
CSV File
- Create the CSV data file
- Under CCMAdmin > Bulk Administration > Upload/Download Files, download the bat.xlt macro file to help create the data file
- Upload the CSV data file to the publisher server
Run Job
- Under CCMAdmin > Bulk Administration > Users > Insert User, start BAT jobs
Configuration Phone BAT
Phone Template
- Under CCMAdmin > Bulk Administration > Phones > Phone Template, create BAT Phone template
- Setup common phones device setting
Line Template
- After the creation of the Phone templates, in the same page create BAT Line template
- Setup common phones line setting
CSV File
- Create the CSV data file for phone specific information
- Upload CSV files
- Under CCMAdmin > Bulk Administration > Upload/Download Files, download the bat.xlt macro file to help create the data file
Validation
- Under CCMAdmin > Bulk Administration > Phones > Validate Phones, Validating Phone configuration
- Verify no overlapping MAC
- Verify correct phone template applied to correct phone model
- All required fields are presence
Run Job
- Under CCMAdmin > Bulk Administration > Phones > Insert Phones, Insert IP Phones into CUCM
- Insert Phone Specific details - use our custom CSV file
- Insert Phone All details - from an export of the phone file with some modification
